//Commercial Illustration;
This comes in many forms, from a drawing for a logo to an image for a poster, book cover, or flyer. Commercial Illustration is one of the primary services offered by JBarkerDesigns. Pencil, ink, watercolor, digital coloring, digital illustration, sketches, concept art, and anything else you can think of! If it involves putting pencil, pen, or paint to paper, then we can accomodate you!
A hand drawn logo or graphic for your business will make your business stand out compared to the competition!
//Identity Services;
Business and Corporate identity packages are an important service for any business, whether new to the scene or a long time staple looking for a new identity. Logo design, color selection, concept brainstorming, business cards, letterheads, folders, and ancillary items such as magnets, stickers, pens, and other knicknacks are all covered in this very elastic and dynamic category!
//Advertising Design;
Billboards, magazine layouts, flyers, mailers, and any other printed advertising service plays a vital role in communicating with your new and existing customers.
//Photo Restoration;
Have a photograph that has been damaged? We can do wonders with old pictures, from correcting simple fading to restoring extensive surface damage. The past is not lost to you! Let us take a look at your old photos and see what we can do!
//Magazine layouts;
Need layouts for a magazine page? For a single feature/spread or an entire periodical? JBD can accomodate you! From traditional standy's fit for serious minded publications, to hip, cutting edge, visually intensive layouts, let JBarkerDesigns give your magazine a hint of class and style!
//Book Covers and layouts;
Self publishing, small publishing houses, and print on demand services have created a world where anyone can get their book published! Whether going the self publishing route or working with a publisher, don't settle for a run of the mill book cover, or even worse, a premade template. JBD can create a stunning, stylish cover for your book!
WHAT WE DO NOT OFFER ;
This section is a necessary evil, because I have to make a few things very clear. There are some services I do not offer. I can refer you to others who do offer these services, but to prevent misunderstandings I must be clear on what I do and do not offer.
_JBarkerDesigns does NOT offer SEO services. The web design services we offer are fairly limited at this time, and aside from some baic principles of web design that are built in to any decent site, we do not offer search engine optimization. Seek out a legitimate SEO company for this service.
_We do not offer dedicated photography services. Limited, lower resolution product shots are available, but I am not a pro photographer, nor do I pretend to be one.
_JBarkerDesigns does not offer copywriting services, though I will try to put you in touch with a good copywriter. Otherwise, you must provide your own content in this area.
_JBarkerDesign is not an ad agency, and I cannot market your services. I do not create ad campaigns. JBD will create ads, flyers, and so forth, but this is not an advertising firm, it is a visual design firm.
_I am not a webmaster for hire. In the event that I offer web design, I cannot maintain the website indefinitely, nor can I purchase your hosting for you. I have a lot of clients, and webmastering for them all would not be feasible.
You will have to eventually take responsibility for the website yourself.
//A Note on Turnover Time;
How long a project takes can vary considerably. A good design takes time, and if you want to be involved in each step of the process, do not expect to be "wowed" with the first rough drafts. Any good design will take weeks, if not months, before it is fit for professional use. This is not a chop-shop logo house where you get several 'finished' designs overnight. If you need something in a timely fashion, I will be open to rush jobs in most circumstances. Be advised, however, that this will incur extra cost. Generally, the faster the rush and the more complex the job, the greater the extra cost.
//Sustainability Statement;
JBarkerDesigns is devoted to environmentally friendly business pratices whenever possible, and the printers we work with all offer a number of sustainable service options in regards to paperstock, inks, and other matters. Feel free to ask more about green design, lifecycle of products, or anything else in this area.
